How to Sync Shopify Products to TikTok Shop?

Step 1 - Connect Shopify and TikTok Shop

When you log in to ShopSync for the first time, you will be taken to the User Guide page. On this page you will need to follow the instructions to connect your Shopify store and TikTok Shop before you use ShopSync.

It's worth noting that Datech ShopSync currently supports connecting with TikTok Shops in the US market. Other marketplaces will be supported in the future versions.

Step 2 - Preference Settings

Once your Shopify and TikTok Shop are connected, navigate to the 【Settings】 page where you first set your synchronization preferences.

Go to 【Preferences --- Default Shipping Information】 and add the product weight and dimensions for your products, but only if all your products have the same weight and dimensions. After clicking the "Save" button, ShopSync will automatically populate the weight and dimensions fields for all your products with the values you filled in.

🤔 Why Do I Need to Provide Weight and Dimensions?

TikTok Shop requires every product to include shipping information (weight and dimensions) for approval, while Shopify does not have this mandatory requirement. This can lead to situations where some products lack weight and dimension information, preventing successful synchronization. To successfully sync your Shopify products to TikTok Shop, you need to add weight and size information for each product.

If your products have different weights and dimensions, you will need to navigate to the 【Products】 page and fill in the corresponding weight and dimension for each product.

Step 3 - Auto Sync, Inventory and Price Settings

Scroll down the page to find the 【Product Sync Rules, Inventory Sync Rules, and Price Sync Rules】. Based on your preferences, you can choose to enable or disable the auto sync button, set the quantity of inventory for sales on TikTok Shop, and establish different prices for TikTok Shop products compared to Shopify's.

🤔 What is Auto Sync?

When you turn on the auto sync switch of products, inventory, price, it means that any changes you make to the product titles, descriptions, medias, variants, inventories, and prices in Shopify will automatically and in real-time sync to TikTok Shop, without the need for you to log into Datech ShopSync to confirm again.

Step 4 - Category Mapping

After completing the preferences, navigate to 【Categories - Categories unmapped】. Click on each pencil icon under the title "Category on TikTok Shop" to select the correct category for them on TikTok Shop, and finally click the "Map" button to complete the mapping.

🤔 Why is Category Mapping Necessary?

ShopSync automatically recognizes the categories of your Shopify products, but since the category names in Shopify may differ from those in TikTok Shop, you need to establish a mapping relationship to ensure your products are placed under the correct category in TikTok Shop.

Step 5 - Bulk Update Product Information

Navigate to 【Categories mapped】, where you can use the category template to bulk edit product information (product status, brand, weight, dimensions, attributes, size chart, etc.) for products within the same category. The same process applies to other categories as well.

If your products have different weights and dimensions, you will need to navigate to the 【Products】 page and fill in the corresponding weight and dimension for each product.

If you have filled out all the required information for your products, you can skip this step.

Step 6 - Bulk Sync Products

Once you have filled out all the category templates, navigate to 【Products --- Shopify】. This page lists all your listing Shopify products. Select the products you want to sync to TikTok Shop and click the "Batch Sync" button in the upper right corner. After a few seconds, you will see a success message indicating that the sync was successful.

This is because the newly added products need to be reviewed by the TikTok Shop official team, which usually takes 1-3 hours. Once the review is approved, you will be able to see your products in your TikTok Shop Seller Center.
